Litten Family Home & Healing

Surreal events happen to people everyday. The scale of these events vary from small to life changing, and reactions to these things change from person to person, but when it happens to you it's hard to know how to react.  It's hard to even believe that it is now you living out this event that you certainly never thought could happen to you or your family or even anyone you know.  These events always seem to take place to strangers on T.V. or in books, but it is important to understand that such events are real and they are always faced unexpectedly. You must simply hope for strength and lend a helping hand.

Strength is something that time and time again has proven to be an honest quality of both Paul and Valerie Litten. Whether they have faced internal, personal struggles, health issues, financial difficulty, or simply the battles we all face day-to-day, all of which we know so intimately. Some things, however, are more surreal then others, and as of August 24 2016 they are to start anew and be strong yet again due to an explosion/ fire that took their home along with everything in it. With this event, they cannot be strong alone.

The story of this event has proven to be widely known through news coverage, social media, and by word of mouth of friends, family and community members. At around 2 AM on Wednesday the 24th there was an explosion in their house, so powerful that it threw Paul and Valerie from their home, ultimately to safety, as the house itself burned to the ground along with everything inside it.  Thankfully Paul and Valerie are alive and they will overcome this traumatic experience. Their story has been told over and over as they are healing and as they are yet again proving to be strong through their positive spirits and their love for each other.

When losing a home and possessions that hold not only memories but a sense of who you are, life feels quite scary, and it feels that much scarier when your body is also damaged and you're in as much physical pain as they currently face.

In order to rebuild their home, their time spent away from normality, their spirits and their new foundation to their future, this gofundme campaign has been created in order to provide a resource to all of those who have been asking how to help. The Litten family has received such a tremendous response to this recent event - so many prayers, positive thoughts, and offerings. This family is constantly asked about what can be done to help, and in these early stages when the logistical work is on hold, physical healing is the primary priority, so for now this campaign is the best outlet for providing help and resource to contributing to Paul and Valerie's beautiful, happy future.

Paul, Valerie, and all of their family is so grateful for every bit of help and every single prayer & thought.
