Lindsey's Lyme/CIDP Warrior Fund

I'm Lindsey and I am a Lyme Disease and CIDP Warrior. Recently diagnosed I have been fighting Lyme Disease and two other tick-borne diseases- Babesia and Bartonella- for 10 years. My story is not unlike many with Chronic Late Stage Lyme Disease. Lyme and 'friends' have infected every organ system in my body- including my brain, heart, GI and nervous system.

Lyme also triggered an autoimmune disease in me called Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy or CIDP. My body is attacking my peripheral nerves now. It's the chronic form of Guillain Barr. It's also progressive, relapsing and can be fatal. I live daily with chronic nerve pain, myalgia, and debilitating fatigue.
  At 38  this disease has taken away (Almost) everything from me- my job, my health, my social life, and at times the ability to read, write and comprehend my surroundings. The financial toll that comes from having a disabling chronic disease has been incredibly stressful. In 3 years I have been to over 30 specialists including Mayo Clinic and have had more tests run on me than any human should have to in 10 lifetimes. If it wasn't for the support of my family and friends I honestly don't know what I would do.
  The one thing it hasn't taken from me is HOpe. I have HOpe. HOpe that I can beat these diseases. HOpe that one day I will be able to work and play again. HOpe for a future.
