life changing surgery for Hondurans

To provide Hope and Healing.  Hospital Centro Socorro de lo Alto is a hospital  in rural Sula, Honduras.   It Is a 501c nonprofit  under the name Health Caring Services. It has been operating since 1986.  It provides medical and surgical care to residents in Honduras, one of the poorest countries in the world with little health care   Fourteen different brigade teams including General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Podiatry and Gynecology, and Dental teams travel at different times of the year to provide care for hundreds of patients. The brigade teams bring all there own supplies and sleep in a team house on the hospital campus.   There is a variety of other groups that supply  eye glasses, shoes and love to residents. In addition local hospital staff have developed a mountain ministry to provide much needed medicine donated by the brigade groups. The hospital has a school of nursing which pairs with nursing specialist from the United States. In addition the hospital Caring Ministries has set up an Scholarship Education Fund to make it possible for locals to pursue their goals for higher education. One of these students  is completing Medical School.  Funds are needed to keep the hospital operating and to have  equipment and operating rooms needed for complex surgeries that otherwise would never happen  for Honduran people. Their health care system does not provide and the average Honduran could never afford it. These surgeries, medicines and dental care allow the Honduran people to continue to work and provide for their families. At this time  we are trying to raise funds for a new operating room and new autoclave, (surgical instrument sterilizing machine);  the needed water purification  for the autoclave and updated electrical system   before January 1, 2019.   The current autoclave often breaks down bringing surgery to a halt.  More operating rooms will allow more surgeries to be performed.  The brigade teams, the hospital employees and people of Honduras would be so grateful.
