Assistance for Leonard Grence, Esq.
Donation protected
Hi everyone, We are friends and relatives of Leonard Grence, Esq. Len has fought a very hard fight since 2012. I remember sitting in my office and exchanging a few messages with Len in February 2012. Within the next few days, he was suddenly very ill with a flesh eating bacterial infection that started from a very small cut. He had to take a life flight from Butler, PA to a hospital in Pittsburgh. The next few years brought several complications and surgeries. Some of Len's organs failed. He broke his ankle at one point. He had a tracheotomy. He has developed issues with his vision. He is currently on dialysis and he is in a nursing home. He has been in hospitals, and nursing homes at all times since his ordeal began in 2012. Through his tremendous faith and prayers, and the prayers of his friends, the past year or so has brought slow but steady recovery. Len will be leaving the nursing home and he will live on his own very soon. He is starting over from scratch. After this many years, he does not have a home to return to. In his law practice, Len handled many cases on a volunteer basis, or for reduced fees. Now he needs assistance. This introduction was written by Kerie Stone. Len was my classmate at Duquesne University School of Law. I went to school in Pittsburgh knowing no one in the entire city. Len is a lifelong resident of Western Pa. and he had gone to Duquesne for his undergrad degree. He introduced me to almost everyone he knew on campus, and well, that was just about everyone on campus. He was a true friend at a time when I was far from my home on Long Island, in NY. I am forever grateful for my old friend and I really want to help him. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help to purchase clothing, household necessities and other assistance for Len. No amount is too small. Even if you cannot donate, please continue to pray for Len.
