Oregon Scottish Heritage Festival
The Oregon Scottish Society is a 501(C)(3) community service organization that sponsors the annual Oregon Scottish Heritage Festival, and other cultural events such as the Robert Burns Dinner, a Scottish Tea, and the Sr. Andrews Dinner. The Heritage Festival is a one day cultural event for families and youth with a goal of education about the influence of Celtic immigrants in the formation of our nation and our culture. The theme of the festival is "Sharing the Story" and will include information on the contributions of Irish, Scottish, and Welch immigrants in the areas of science, literature, education, and technology. It will include hands-on activities for the children, Celtic musicians, dancers, and pipebands. The Event is schedule for Saturday April 9, 2016. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, students, and veterans with ID, and free for children 12 and under. We are currently seeking additional funding for these family oriented community events.
