31936124_1533707313265583_r.jpegLayover is a short film currently in pre-production that is set to shoot in late October in Los Angeles. Layover is written by Lyndsay Rini, who is also starring as "Brooke". The film is being directed by Skyler Barrett.

Brooke, a leftist and millennial living in Los Angeles with her girlfriend, gets saddled with hosting her homophobic, Trump-supporting Aunt for a night because of an unexpected layover at LAX. Brooke and her Aunt haven't spoken since the election, so the real question is: can they make it through one night together in close quarters and put aside their differences?

Lyndsay Rini has assembled a cast and crew of women and LGBTQ artists to bring "Layover" to life.

Rini wrote the piece with micro-budgeting in mind and would like to raise $5,000 or more to go towards the production of "Layover".  All of the money fundraised will go toward paying the production crew, paying the cast, renting any necessary equipment, and to any other production costs needed through the pre-production, filming, and post-production phases. Once "Layover" is completed, it will be submitted to various film festivals. Public release will be set for 2019.
