Help Me Save My Dad

In 2009, just six months before his 50th birthday my Dad was diagnosed with End-stage Kidney Disease and was told if he didn’t start dialysis, he would die.
For the past 8 years, a minimum of three times a week for 4 hours a session, Dad has gone for dialysis treatment in order to stay alive. Financially it has destroyed him, causing him to sell his house after 18 years and scale his business down completely. His family and friends have been his backbone and support, without whom he wouldn’t have made it. He has truly shown amazing strength of character in dealing with this incredible emotional roller-coaster as well as the multitude of extremly difficult hurdles constantly being thrown at him .
But finally there is some good news: Scripps Green Transplant Hospital called to inform him that he has an anonymous donor and has been approved for a kidney transplant. We are ecstatic as dad is now scheduled for surgery on May 23rd, 2017, a week before his birthday.
That said, I am humbly asking for help to get my Dad through this incredibly tough time!
His medical, pharmaceutical, and other expenses are astronomical as he will not be able to earn an income for at least 3-6 months. I would like to help him raise $60,000 to cover these expenses and to help remove the financial stress that currently burdens him.
My father is a wonderful man and friend, without whom, I would not be the man I am today. I hope that he is around for many years to come.
