Lana Pelt Carlton Memorial Fund

Don protégé
Thank you all for your support during this difficult time.  Lana Pelt Carlton passed away unexpectedly January 18, 2015 in a tragic automobile accident outside Boise City, Oklahoma.  She loved greatly and was loved by so many.  Lana could not have been more proud of her family, immediate and extended, in many directions.  She loved her family, friends, co-workers and was willing to do as much as she could to help any of them when they needed help.  Lana was so thankful for all that she had, and she lived her life each day to the fullest.  The circles of her relationships are vast and there are many whom she viewed as her own (you know who you are).  She could not have been more special to everyone that knew her or have had more people who loved her as she touched so many lives.  She will be missed by so many people as her kindness was unending.  Friends and family meant everything to her, some friends she had for decades others just a few years, months or just days.  Her heart was big and she embraced everyone she met.  She derived so much pleasure from pleasing others and took joy in all the little things in life.
Lana graduated from Midlothian High School,  Midlothian, Texas, in 1986; attended Texas A&M University, then went on to receive a bachelor of science in Dental Hygiene from Midwestern State University.  She enjoyed spending quality time with her husband Bruce Carlton, whether attending the numerous concerts they frequented and meeting amazing musicians, or riding on the back of their Harley Davidson through the mountains of Colorado. The greatest joy of her life was watching her children, Gabe, Allie and Hannah succeed in all their activities including their academics, sports, and careers. Lana especially enjoyed rocking out with her sister Karen at Bon Jovi concerts.  She took such pride taking care of her many dental patients at Dr. Rasila Bhakta’s  and Dr. James Lutz’s offices.  There will be a memorial service on Friday, January 23, at 4:00 p.m.  at:

Becker-Rabon Funeral Home
1502 Fort Sills Blvd
Lawton, Oklahoma  73507
beckerfuneral.com

Additionally, a memorial will be held on February 18th, 2015, 2 pm, St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Boise City, Oklahoma, and a memorial celebration of Lana’s life will be held on February 21st, 2015, in Midlothian, Texas. Details for the celebration will be announced soon.

A profound thank you to all of our family and friends.
