Help a Lady Veteran to Open Store

Donation protected
A few months ago I found myself featured on BuzzFeed for being the women veteran that challenged the idea of what a veteran looks by simply making apparel designed specifically for women service members and veterans.

Even Congress gave a shout out to Lady Brigade!
(see 2:13:00)

I had no idea it would be such a big deal! I soon got emails nearly every day from women of all eras and branches saying "finally" and thanking Lady Brigade  for creating apparel that they could be proud to wear. It was an amazing response. It also has done well for my business,  allowing me to continue purchasing and designing new items for my customers. It has also allowed me to donate to veteran charities, and it has given me the platform to host the first ever Florida women veterans conference this past April .

However, as many retailers can attest to, most of your cash flow goes right back into new inventory and business expenses, leaving little to invest in things like real estate or renovations.

Right now I run Lady Brigade from my home and it is getting harder everyday to manage the boxes, the packing, and the t-shirts between the four walls of our small home. In addition to the difficultly (and saftey) of hiring outside help if they have to work inside your home. Therefore, I started contemplating how I could get more space. And I chose to look for a retail locations, however the monthly cost of renting a space is nearly as hefty as paying the mortgage outright. Out of luck, I found a little Gem that's on the main strip of our town that would provide the perfect location for Lady Brigade Headquarters. Instead of on shelves in a closet, they will proudly hang in a store, giving  Lady Brigade a presence outside the digital world.

The physical location would include all Lady Brigade merchandise - all of which is MADE IN THE USA. Many of my shirts and (upcoming jewelry) also work for non-veterans and service members who just like to show their support for veterans - (just ask my best-friend who coming to purchase the awesome "tough girl" jewelry thats about to be listed). Venice is flooded with millions of tourists a year, I know this location would propell Lady Brigade forward, allowing me to grow my business and to continue to be an adovcate for women veterans everywhere.

Where will the money go?

38,000 Down Payment & Closing Fees.
(The rest will be financed with personal assets, and a Small Business Association Loan. Total cost is $319,000 - Includes Retail Space and two apartments, I would like to renovate the top floor to be one full apartment to a work/live location.)

13,150 For Renovations and Store fixtures.

If 10,000 people donated the price of their morning coffee - Lady Brigade Headquarters  could be up and running in no time. Please share and donate.

Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Nadine Noky
