LONG BEACH VETERANS DAY PARADE & FESTIVAL
One hundred and eight men from Long Beach were killed in Vietnam and they were never recognized by their own City. Now, more than ever, we need to let our troops and veterans know that they are supported and that we appreciate their service to our Country.
The volunteer parade committee would appreciate your support by becoming a sponsor of the 21st annual Long Beach Veterans Day Parade. If you are unable to become a sponsor any contribution you can afford will be greatly appreciated.
Now in our 21st year the Long Beach Veterans Day Parade & Festival has grown far beyond anything the original Committee imagined. In fact, the very first year the Committee passed a hat to get enough money to buy incidentals. The first few years were very low key, then the parade began to grow, not only in size but also in notoriety. Today the parade is the largest Veterans day Parade in Southern California and has a military grand marshal, a honorary grand marshal and three divisional marshals.
