Kind Kombucha Commercial Kitchen

$1,330 of $13,000 goal

Raised by 24 people in 8 months
Kind Kombucha was created in November 2016, invested in the health and well being for others as well as spreading the love that was born in 1960's by The Grateful Dead, Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters!

We are raising money to build our very own commercial kitchen, where will keep producing high quality organic kombucha and expand our brand by creating raw foods, such as kale chips, onion rings and potato chips. Our kitchen, which will second as a storefront, will be a cruelty free establishment and welcoming to ALL!

We met in the summer of 2016 at a Dead & Company concert in Pennsylvania. During the second set, the band played “Uncle John’s Band,” which contains lyrics we both live by: “Think this through with me, let me know your mind, wo, oh, what I want to know is, are you KIND?” We quickly fell in love with each other's desire to make the world a healthier, happier, and kinder place, and the lyrics to the song became the driving force behind our name.

We were purchasing kombucha on a daily basis when we started brewing it in our home for personal use, and in the months thereafter, we began experimenting with flavors that might entice even those who are wary of trying the drink for the first time.

Kind Kombucha is a local Bloomington, IN company started by two enthusiasts of this raw, probiotic-rich, cleansing drink. We believe kombucha can assist in the improvement of many chronic health concerns. Our process preserves all the nutrients and natural enzymes in this raw food, retaining those enzymes that boost digestion and fight chronic disease.

We strongly believe that peace and happiness starts with the body-mind connection. We created this company because we are both invested in providing tasty, raw food that is not only delicious, but good for you and the planet. A healthy body yields a clear mind, and a clear mind can go further. Kombucha can be the ripple effect to change the world!

Thank you all so much for all of your continued support over the past few months. We apologize for not updating you officially via GoFundMe but know that we are hard at work trying to make the dream come alive! We used the funds we raised to invest in equipment we would need for our commercial kitchen. We purchased two 59-gallon oak barrels for our kombucha! We are awaiting the first batch to finish fermentation and we cannot thank you enough for raising the funds that enabled us to take this next step. We have been meeting with distribution companies and will be expanding into Kentucky and Ohio as well as gas stations here in the Bloomington area.

As of now, the kitchen is on pause as we focus on our CBD products post CBD-legalization here in Indiana. We believe that if we focus on this and expanding our catalog we will be in a position very soon to fund our own kitchen but will continue our Go Fund Me campaign as it will help us invest in equipment to make our current tasks easier and more efficient as well as have all the equipment ready to transfer into our very own cruelty free kitchen!

We will be obeying the rewards of the Go Fund Me in the following weeks, so if you haven’t already done so please email us (goehl.walker@gmail.com) with your physical address, shirt size and social media tags!

Again, we are so grateful for all that you have done and have not forgot what you’ve done for us :)

Love G&W
