Kidney Transplant for Steffi

Steffi Gabbert was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease a few years ago, a complication of living with type 1 diabetes. Unfortunately, her disease has progressed to a point in which a kidney transplant is necessary.
A few family members were tested for compatibility, and thankfully, Steffi's sister, Cally Endres, is a perfect match. After completing rigorous physical testing, Cally was approved to be Steffi's donor. Surgery is scheduled for June 12th.
The costs of a kidney transplant are tremendous. Not only are the medical expenses exorbitant, but time off work for both Steffi and Cally, along with their caretakers, is considerable.
