Kevin Klewe's end of life expenses

Donation protected
Kevin Klewe, born September 1st, 1978, to Harold and Laurie Klewe, died June 7th, 2016.  Kevin is survived by his mother Laurie Klewe, older sisters, Karen Brown, Diane Lyon, Marcella Studebaker, and older brother David Klewe.  Kevin was born with a major disability, spina bifida, which left him in a wheel chair since he was a toddler.  However, Kevin didn't know the word "disability."  Basically healthy from the waist up, he went through life with ambition and eagerness.  After high school, he became a volunteer firefighter with the City of Colusa Fire Department.  When his fire pager would alert of the call to duty, his father would take him to the fire department and Kevin would operate the radios throughout the incident.  For a brief period, he was also a dispatcher for Caltrans.  Kevin was full of life and he could be seen wheeling around town in his wheel chair, waving to what seemed like the entire town as he knew everybody and everybody knew him.

When Kevin was born, his doctors said he wouldn't live past eighteen years.  With the help of the Lord, not only did he live past eighteen years, he beat death twice and lived to be thirty-seven years young and full of life and love.  He was truly blessed, even though he had many trials and tribulations with his health, he kept pulling through, kept smiling and loving life, giving praise to God as he was truly a blessing as much as he was blessed.

Kevin's dad passed when Kevin was only twenty-four years old from cancer.  This left his mother to take care of him, who is also disabled.  Since his father passed, they have been struggling-but surviving, making the best of what they have been provided for.

My name is Michael and I'm Kevin's brother-in-law.  The picture that you see is when I married his sister, Karen, almost six years ago.  I'm writing this for Karen and the family.  I have been blessed by Kevin's entire family, especially by Kevin as he has always been an example of how to live despite any disability or obstacle life gives you.  We are truly in awe by the amount of outpouring love and support by the community.  Throughout his entire life, he has been a fixture in the community, a true pillar and symbol of courage and fortitude and of love for life.

Money raised in his honor will go to pay for Kevin's services and for some much needed repairs at his home.  This past winter, he had to put several buckets in his bedroom to catch water that was leaking from the roof during the heavy rains.  Please give in Kevin's memory.  Your support and donations will be truly heartfelt and appreciated, and I know his mother, and family, will be most grateful and thankful, as I am.  Thank-you, and God bless.
