Kenny's Dream

For the past 11 years we have watched our classmate, Kenny Berends, as he has matured into one of the kindest people we know. However, it hasn't been easy for him, not by any means. Kenny entered our school system in 2002 (second grade). Two years later, in fourth grade, Kenny told our class of his family's plans to visit Disney World using all the money that they had stored in various change jars. That weekend, Kenny's house was robbed, and all the money was gone. The very next year, Kenny's father died from cancer. The entire class banned together to comfort him, and since, we've all made an effort to watch over him, to make sure he's okay. Fast-forward, seven years later, with one month to go before we started this year; our senior year. Kenny's mom, after surviving a heart attack just three years earlier, lost her battle with cancer. It hit the family hard, but especially Kenny. As a class we feel that very little in life has gone Kenny's way, yet he deserves so much. So, as a class and with permission from his sister, whom he now lives with, we have started to gather funds to give Kenny a well deserved break. We want to surprise Kenny with a trip to Japan. Kenny loves Japan, any time you ask him where he wants to go, or to choose a topic, it's always Japan. But, it's hard for a small community to raise enough to send him and his sister. So we need your help, please help send Kenny and his sister to Japan. If you happen to know him however, please don't mention it, we would like to surprise him. :)
