MY BIRTHDAY WISH IN SUPPORT OF
NU SKOOL SINGS OLD SCHOOL
Yes it’s my Birthday January 10th and I will be celebrating the entire month of January and Instead of asking you to attend a fancy red carpet birthday party for me this year or sending gifts, I have decided to continue to give back in support of Nu Skool Sings Old School. Nu Skool Sings Old School is a community of “heart-centered” children and young artists that support homeless and inner city children through music education, cultural outings, holiday parties and other special events. Nu Skool Sings Old School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
The Obama’s are lovers of all types of music and have been advocating for music to be present and taught in all schools, but because of the economies booms, busts, and bureaucrats, school budgets get squeezed and music and the other arts take the first hits. Many school systems will have No Music specialists serving elementary, secondary or high schools by this year. That is very sad, but you can help make a difference.
Your donations will help support and supply homeless and inner city children with muscial education, instruments, singing & dancing lessons, transportaion to and from annual talent events to showcase their talents. Children and their families travel from as far west as Hawaaii and east from New York.
I have been involved and working with Brandy Sanders Founder of Nu School SIngs Old School since 2009 www.Nuskoolsingsoldschool.com.
I was recently honored at the 3rd annual Beautiful Soulz Awards November 20, 2016 along with other honorees and supports such as; Larry Dunn (orignial member Earth Wind & Fire), Brenda Lee Eager, Jon B., Luenell, Ernest Thomas, Choreographer Shane Sparks and many others.
