KYLE ADAMS BENEFIT ACCOUNT
This is a fundraiser for a wonderful little boy, 4 yr old Kyle Adams, who is in and out of the hospital and will be for quite some time. Kyle was diagnosed with Lymphoma in March 2014. He became very ill and his parents took him to the Emergency Room. There they determined that Kyle needed to be put on careflight to UC Davis Hospital where he spent more than 3 weeks in ICU. The family DOES have insurance, however the co-pays alone are astronomical and he has a very long journey ahead of him. Kyle is being a little trooper and fighting this cancer with all his might and he is amazing. He is currently getting 5 chemo treatments a week. Doctors say they expect him to be at the hospital receiving treatments for the next 2 years.
Kyle also has a baby sister & big brother. His mom does not leave his side while dad works. They live in Lake Tahoe and have the added expense of travel, room & board all while trying to care for there other children, age 2 & 7. Please consider donating, EVERY DOLLAR HELPS! Show this little boy people DO care! :)
Donations will go to the family to help pay for medical expenses, and all the extra expenses associated with this difficult time.

I just wanted to mention how lucky I am to have such great friends and family, and to thank you all for your ongoing support for Kyle. The outpour of our community, all of the thoughts and prayers, and donations for his care have meant so much, that there are not enough words to express how very grateful we are. My sister-in-law, Tracy , has bent over backwards for us, also raising funds for Kyle. We are so unbelievably thankful for my parents always being there whenever we need them to help us watch the kids, or absolutely whatever we need. Kyle reaching maintenance seemed like a day that would take forever to get to, and here we are. Kyle's progress has come so far! Of course, his treatments are far from over. He will still have another year and a half of treatments to make sure his lymphoma doesn't come back, so your ongoing prayers for our boy are very important to us. Maintenance means no more aggressive therapy, which will make Kyle feel much better, blood levels won't drop so low, immunity will be higher, and most of all, the extended treatment will help prevent relapse! He might start school the second half of January, but doctors aren't sure on that just yet, we need to monitor him on his new medicine for a bit, but can't wait to hear those words also! Kyle's hair is all ready starting to grow back, it is the softest and lightest blonde hair.... It is seriously the cutest thing ever, I love to rub my cheeks on the softness whenever I get the chance. The last 9 months have been unimaginable, and still to this day, it's a truly difficult time, but our family keeps pushing forward with positivity. And that's all we are willing to do! And I know as for me, my Facebook family has really helped keep the normalcy in my life. You guys helped me get through hell and back, honestly.
I'll appreciate that forever... Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!
Starting the "phase" before "maintenance" ... It'll be about two months plus of treatment, this includes recovery time. We are hoping to hear the great news of reaching maintenance around Christmastime. Kyle is doing very well, and doctors are very impressed by his progress. We ask that you keep praying for our boy as these treatments do take a toll on his little body... Kyle continues to be a very strong & brave boy, and carries that beautiful smile whenever possible.
Now do you understand why I can't for Christmas? Thanking medicine man every single day, because without medicine, our Kyle would not be with us today. Amen

It's been a while since I've updated about Kyle, just wanted to let you all know that he's doing really good. We ended a very intense phase that took Kyle's blood counts a while to recover, almost 3 weeks. Was a nice break from treatment, but we need to keep going! Now on a new phase, here we go, please keep praying, that's all we're asking for, it's far from over, but the good news is, he is getting better and better, and after this phase is one more before he reaches "maintenance" .... We need to reach maintenance because that's when docs will declare him free of cancer. We were hoping maintenance would come sooner like in September, but after each month his counts need time to recover, so it will take longer to get there, but we are willing to wait, that's okay! Kyle is registered for Kindergarten, and although he won't be able to start on time, that's okay too! As soon as he reaches maintenance, docs will say them magic words... Then he'll be able to start school. He will also feel just like the Kyle we knew before he got sick, as treatments won't be aggressive anymore. He will also grow all of his hair back soon after he reaches maintenance. We need "maintenance" .... The love I have for him is unreal... And the bond we have between each other is like no other. When I think of the word, hero, I see Kyle's face. Amen!
Well it's been a rough week for Kyle but he is an amazing little boy and keeping his spirits up despite the regular spinal taps, blood draws & chemo treatments. He misses his friends at preschool and wants thing back to normal....sooner than later. He is going to be 5 years old this month. Let's do everything we can to help this family....even $20 will help.... By his birthday I'm hoping to raise a lot more money with your help.
