The Manheim Borough Police K9 Unit is asking for your support in helping to maintain the K9 program after the recent retirement of K9 Bayne.  Officer Kirk Colwell was recently appointed as the new K9 handler for our agency.  A new 18-month-old German Shepherd was purchased utilizing prior contributions to the K9 fund.  The department would like to thank everyone who participated in helping to name our new Officer, K9 Nash.

In the very near future, Officer Colwell and K9 Nash will be attending an intense 6-week training program.  Nash will be trained in narcotics detection, tracking and patrol functions.

The Manheim Borough Police K9 program is a completely self-funded, non-profit organization.  The K9 program will not only help in the detection and deterrent of crime but also continue to build a stronger bond between the police department and the local community.

Funds will be utilized for the following;

The dog and initial 6-week training program

Monthly training

Equipment and upgrades

Vehicle maintenance

Contributions can be donated through this page or in person at the Manheim Borough Police Department.
