K9 Memorial Fund
Please help to honour all dogs that have served this country by contributing to a War Dogs Memorial. All proceeds raised will go towards erecting a permanent monument at KCC Park in Skye, Victoria (The State Dog Centre). With your help, we can pay tribute to the thousands of devoted canines that have served (often paying the ultimate sacrifice) and continue to serve Australia so selflessly.
Conceived by Merilyn Syme O.A.M., the idea to erect a monument at KCC Park has been gathering momentum for quite some time, and with the aid of a committee of like-minded volunteers and the generous donations of many, it at last is becoming a reality. The monument will be significant. Built from Australian sandstone and combined with inserts of black granite depicting the wonderful work of these dogs, and surrounded by a reflection garden landscaped with seating and purple roses and trees.
This memorial will remember all dogs that have served or continue to serve Australia, the dogs that keep you and I safe, that work tirelessly with their handlers to protect Australia from a wide array of threats.
Now in its final stages of planning and to be erected in the not too distant future, we need your help to continue.
We need donations, no matter how small, to continue the work and to erect a memorial. We need you to share this page with all your friends and any groups you think suitable. It will be from your continued help and the assistance of donations, that the War Dogs Memorial can be built, along with a landscaped reflection garden at KCC Park, the State Dog Centre.
