On June 24th, Maya Tsimnhoni's three kids (Liam [13], Roee [10], Natalie [9]) were sent to Juvenile Detention for refusing to have lunch with their father, Omer Tsimhoni, from whom they are estranged due to a long history of abuse and absence. After public outcry, Judge Lisa Gorcyca  along with GAL William (Bill) Lansat sent the kids to sleepover camp where they are currently being housed away from the general camp population and unable to have any form of communication with their mother. Please donate so we can bring Liam, Roee and Natalie back home to their mother.

I saw my dad hit my mom….

That’s what the eldest Tsimhoni child said to Judge Gorcyca. She in return handcuffs and incarnates him, along with his younger siblings in a juvenile detention center while demanding they have a better relationship with their dad.
After an international public out cry, Gorcyca releases the kids, unlawfully strips away the mother's custody and now the children are a prisoner of other sorts. Gorcyca banned them from their mom, any maternal relatives, family friends and even their dog.
Since Gorcyca unlawfully took Maya's children from her without holding an evidentiary hearing, Maya has only seen her children twice. Once was for an hour to bring them to the hospital after camp since they became ill. It was reported that the GAL and the Dad (Omer) dismissed Maya's recommendations and concern for her children’s care. They decided that the mother, the primary care taker whose also a doctor, experience was irrelevant and as a result, the children paid the price.
Maya is a doctor. A well respected doctor and had won custody when Omer tried to illegally keep the kids in Israel. He falsified documents and falsely filed claimed she kidnapped the children. Maya was exonerated and dad after a CPS investigation was given supervised visits. Five years later, after missing countless supervised visitations and after three licensed psychiatrists state: “Dad is the problem, Dad is abusive to mom AND the children and stop forcing kids to change their feelings about Dad,” Judge Gorcyca forces the children to live with their abusive Dad. Sadly not only did Gorcyca know of these reports, she unlawfully denied them as evidence. Not just the psychological reports, yet any medical evidence validating abuse. Gorcyca denied three real licensed psychiatrists report and yet sent the children to a controversial reunification therapy where the “therapist” isn’t licensed and only holds a high school diploma.
On October 5, 2015, Judge Gorcyca presided over her own hearing to disqualify herself from the case not in the courtroom before the public, but behind closed backroom doors. It is still unknown if this “hearing” was recorded by a court reporter. What did come out in court in another matter with the case, the reunification failed. The kids are supposed be returned to mom, yet the GAL and Omer’s attorney lied and stated it was successful. Gorcyca did nothing. She happily went against her own order and kept the kids with Omer. Not only is Gorcyca refusing to recuse herself after numerous judicial infractions, she has now ruled to keep the kids with Dad for months longer than her first ruling as punishment for Maya standing up for her and her children rights.
What can you do? Help Maya bring her kids home. Make a small donation to help Maya keep fighting. Maya is a well respected doctor and before Omer and his lawyer harassed her employers or viciously destroyed her reputation, she could work. Now Maya cannot find work, she needs help. The Courts are adding tens of thousands worth of fees onto Maya. The last bill being $30k.
Help support Maya's fight to protect her kids, end Gorcyca’s abuse of power and bring her kids home.

Rally for Maya at Hearing Today: NOW & NOMAS Speakers

Gorcyca Refuses to Recuse: Continues Isolation of Kids from Mom
Isolation: Mind Control Technique Used to Break Kids [and Prisoners of War]

The attorneys for the mother, Maya Tsimhoni, filed a motion to disqualify Judge Gorcyca on the basis of apparent bias against the mother, but Gorcyca denied that motion as of October 5th.

The allegations of Gorcyca's bias are supported by her statements made at the June 23rd hearing, during which she threatened the mother, "If the show cause goes forward, you are going to be strip searched. You are going to take off your clothes and be strip searched and squat." Furthermore, she has accused the mother of being "the problem" and has implied her guilt repeatedly in spite of evidence suggesting that the children are afraid of their father because of his [violent] actions.

… During the hearing when Judge Gorcyca sentenced the children to juvenile detention, she violated all five of their basic rights of agency, equality, dignity, protection, and privacy as explained in an article appearing in Psychology Today. Gorcyca even threatened to violate their most basic privacy rights to use the bathroom unobserved, saying to the youngest child, "Let's see, you're going to be a teenager. Do you like going to the bathroom in front of people?"

… The efforts to silence activists, gag media, and seal documents beg the question: "Who is the court trying to protect?" One could choose to believe that these measures were actually intended to protect the children's privacy, but the public has no assurances that Judge Gorcyca cares to protect the children's rights. If the children's "privacy" from the media is more important to Judge Gorcyca than their privacy in the bathroom, perhaps that is an indication that the public should keep an even closer eye on this case.

As it is, the children and their mother are at the mercy of the judge who has egregiously bullied them in court. The gag order ensures their silence and guarantees that the only opinion allowed in the media is that of the court. Unless we trust that the court is protecting the best interests of the children, that needs to change.

Judge Gorcyca Stays on Tsimhoni Case, Denies Allegations of Bias

The Tsimhoni children of Bloomfield Hills will continue to live with their father, while their mother fights to have the judge overseeing their bitter custody battle removed from the case.

Maya Eibschitz-Tsimhoni was in court Tuesday morning, asking that a formal custody hearing, scheduled for several days this week, be delayed while her attorneys ask Oakland County Chief Judge Nanci Grant to intercede and remove Family Court Judge Lisa Gorcyca from the case.

Gorcyca agreed to the delay. Grant is expected to hear the motion next week.

Gorcyca, who has been the judge in the case for more than five years, made international headlines when she sent the three children, ages 14, 11 and 9, to Children's Village, a county detention center, because they were refusing her orders to reconcile with their father, Omer Tsiimhoni, including eating lunch with him. The judge eventually sent the children to summer camp, and then into a days-long reconciliation treatment program with their father. They have been living with him since August.

Eibschitz-Tsimhoni, who is on her 15th and 16th attorney, recently filed motions insisting that Gorcyca is biased in favor of the children's father and asked Gorcyca to remove herself from the case. In a written opinion released Monday, Gorcyca denied the request, and said Eibschitz-Tsimhoni's arguments for recusal were "disingenuous and disorganized at best."

...Attorney William Lansat, appointed by the court as an advocate for the children, did not object to the delay on the formal custody trial, noting that orders in August and September, placing the children in their father's care, remain in effect. Lansat, according to statements and court filings, believes the children's mother has worked to destroy their relationship with their father.

Gorcyca has issued a gag order, prohibiting all parties from discussing the case. The children were not in the courtroom, and are reportedly attending local schools.

Tsimhoni mom continues fight to oust judge from case

Please COMMENT on the Detroit Free Press article! The father/judge supporters are putting out the wrong info--that it is fathers who are discriminated against in family court. Set them straight and let the public know the truth: There is an epidemic of kids being taken away from good moms and given to abusive fathers.

There was a rally for Maya and the kids after the hearing and we will update with footage if it is aired. Michigan NOW (National Organization for Women and NOMAS (National Organization for Men Against Sexism) was there.

TWC NOTE: Although on the surface it appears that giving Maya time to appeal the disqualification motion before Gorcyca decides on custody is a good thing for mom, it actually works in the father's and Gorcyca's favor. How?

1) The Chief Judge is reportedly a good friend of Gorcyca so will surely deny the motion to disqualify next week. This means it will go through an appellate process which will likely take months.

2) The 90 days to "reunify" [read: coerce] the kids to accept living with their father is running out and by declaring that "all orders remain in effect" until the disqualification matter is resolved, this provides an excuse to continue to isolate the kids from their mother for many more months. Isolation is the #1 strategy for breaking kids' will to live with their mother.

3) It would look bad if Gorcyca switched custody to the father now, as it would show she is forcing them to live with him against their will. Gorcyca (and all family court judges) want it to appear that kids want to live with their father and it takes time to break and brainwash strong, smart kids like the Tsimhoni's.

Update: This weeks custody hearing adjourned
Tsimhoni vs. Tsimhoni, Oakland County, Mi

“Judge gives attorneys time to appeal in custody case” an article written by Mike Martindale of The Detroit News reads. In regards to the motion to disqualify judge that was recently denied by Judge Gorcyca: “We wish to appeal to the chief circuit judge and if necessary, the (Michigan) Court of Appeals” the mother’s attorney, Wilson Tanner, told Gorcyca Tuesday.

The Oakland County Chief Circuit Judge is Hon. Nanci Grant. We aren’t getting our hopes up that Judge Grant will disqualify Judge Gorcyca. We have found a video of Judge Nanci Grant accepting an award for “WONder Woman 2015” from the Women Officals Network. Filmed earlier this year, during Judge Grants acceptance speech she refers to Gorcyca as her “bestie”. And according to Fox 2 news, who originally broke the story of Judge Gorcyca sending the three Tsimhoni children to juvenile detention:

The Oakland County Chief Judge Nanci Grant was upset with FOX 2's story and wanted to point out that Gorcyca felt she exhausted all other avenues to reunite this family
