End Of Life Dream

Kenny Jones was a young avid sportsman who in 2005 was told by doctors he was fighting a rare autoimmune disease (Pyoderma Gangrenosum) which was being caused by Multiple Myeloma (bone marrow cancer). The illnesses put an end to many of Kenny Jones' dreams: Being an eye doctor, Doing the simple dad stuff like throwing baseballs, Going on hikes, Attending school events, and Creating fun memories with his family.

Kenny, who married his wife Michelle on January 15, 1999, have two children, 13 and 17. Kenny has been receiving chemo treatments weekly since January 2006 and receiving IgG treatments monthly, in/out of doctor's offices, hospitals (including two trips to the Mayo Clinic), ER and nursing home stays as well.

After this last hospital stay, Kenny and his wife Michelle, were told by his doctors they have done all they could do and he needed to make a life choice. Kenny decided he is tired after fighting cancer for these last 11 years and can no longer continue his fight - as much as he wants to stay here for the kids and his wife.

Kenny returned home on January 31, 2017 and started Hospice of Kitsap where he is receiving end of life care. Kenny Jones’ one big dream has been to take his family to destinations, especially Hawaii - to attend a luau, snorkel, and swim with the dolphins.

Kenny's family friends submitted an application to the Dream Foundation who have granted the family a 5 day / 4 night stay with airfare to Oahu, Hawaii. However, the family of four are responsible for all other expenses, activities and food while there during the five-day adventure.
