Joanne's Fight 4 Life Memorial Fund

August 16, 2016 Joanne Tibbs celebrated her 66th birthday. What a joyous occasion to know you have made it another year.  A few short days later on August 19th she went into the hospital with severe abdominal and back pain. She stayed at the hospital for 8 days receiving all sorts of tests, CT Scans, MRIs and constant monitoring.  August 24th we would soon get the worst news of our lives, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometrial Cancer and the cancer had metastasized into her hip and spine.

Now in the fight of her life, she would have multiple hospital says, reactions to cancer treatments, and plenty of visits from family, friends and well wishers, my mother of a women of strong faith answered God's call to come home.

She passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at a beautiful hospice center in Aldie, VA. They staff of the centers main priority to their clients is comfort caring and with my sister by her side 24/7. She will truly be missed and loved by all who knew and cared for her.
