Hello Friends!
I am blessed to announce that the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar's 2013 Summer session in Weimar, Germany has accepted me to perform as the Queen of the Night in "The Magic Flute". Words fall woefully short in expressing how excited I am to perform a personally inspirational piece in a country steeped with such rich musical history. This is a truly a wonderful opportunity to continue my growth as a musician.
Some of you may be asking whether this is a solicitation for assistance. Let me first respond by saying, yes, absolutely. I am reaching out to all my family and friends to assist me, in whatever way they can. However, my request for assistance is by no means limited to financial donations. While it is true, and as I am sure many of my fellow Peabody students will agree, that young musicians do not always have the luxuries of financial freedom, life has repeatedly taught me that gifts of moral support are often the most valuable. Where money is admittedly necessary to travel, words of encouragement from friends, whether through correspondences or prayers, will be my daily bread in a foreign land.
