Pastor Jim McCutchen Kidney

Donation protected
I am writing this letter to ask for your support in a campaign to raise money for Pastor Jim McCutchen to pay off some medical bills and get a kidney transplant. About 15 months ago, Jim stepped on a piece of glass at his apartment swimming pool. At that time, he did not think it was very significant, and did not seek immediate treatment. The next day he went to see his primary care physician, who did not think the injury was significant either. A couple of days later he developed increased pain and redness at the site, and was given some antibiotics. The infection spread into his foot and ultimately into his whole body. He became septic, which is what happens when the infection spreads throughout the body, he ended up being hospitalized 3 weeks for the infection. After several months of trying to heal the infection in the foot, he ended up having to have an amputation of his left big toe and second toe. Additionally, because of the significant infection, he developed kidney failure, unfortunately his kidneys never started working properly again. He is now on dialysis at a hemodialysis center 3 days per week. Each treatment takes a total of about 5 hours. He is now on a kidney transplant list. Because of his illness, he incurred over $30,000 worth of medical debt not covered by insurance, which he has been working diligently to reduce. His out-of-pocket cost for a kidney transplant will be about $20-$25,000.
As many of you know, Jim is a pastor. He is an excellent speaker, church leader, and evangelist. He teaches children  and is benevolent to the under privileged. He counsels many people and is an encouragement to many more. He has a zeal for winning the lost for Christ and has baptized and provided discipleship to many hundreds. He has been an excellent example of overcoming adversity and “making lemonade when life hands you lemons”. He has been a blessing to many, and encourages all those he comes in contact with, including healthcare workers and other dialysis patients. Please join in this campaign to be a blessing back to him and to hopefully provide the funds he needs to pay off his medical bills and help him get a kidney transplant. May God Bless you and yours and many thanks for helping us help our pastor! Alone we may not accomplish much, but when we join hands with others we can do great things!! "Better days are ahead!"
