Sebastian's death and Jeni's future
Donation protected
January 12th of this year, Sebastian passed away unexpectedly in the home he'd just begun sharing with Jeni. Sebastian was my friend, and Jeni is one of the people most dear to me. No one will likely understand Sebastian's struggles, but he left Jeni with an incredible struggle of her own: how to move forward after tragedy and plan a future without the man she loved.
The donation you're considering right now will be used to pay for her mental health care and living expenses temporarily. Jeni is working towards recovery through an Intensive Outpatient Program (every day, M-F, for two months), ongoing one-on-one individual therapy, psychiatric services and weekly appointments with a psychiatrist, and spiritual care counseling, all through Prairie Care.
Your donations will also be used to cover Jeni's living expenses. In this critical stage of therapy, the professional advice she has received includes moving from her home. Initially she fought this, but has decided living with the pain of Sebastian's death constantly around her is too much to bear, and is impeding her recovery. Her other expenses; car insurance, money for gas (she has a long daily commute to Praire Care), food and her phone will also be paid from donations like yours.
Your generosity will show that if you can admit you need help, and will ask for it, friends and strangers alike will rise to the occasion. It shows that people don't grudgingly give out of obligation, but instead give because they want to help others who are suffering and struggling.
Please help Jeni today. Thank you.
