Trip to play international football

I am 17 years old, a senior attending Oakland Unity High School and I live in Oakland, California. I have been playing competetive soccer for 4 years and 5 years non-competative. My team, Oakland F.C. Leopards, recently made a team decision to travel abroad, towards England to play international football. This is a huge opportunity that revealed itself and in all honesty, my family cannot afford it. These kind of opportunities don't really pop up out of nowhere, especially in East Oakland because of the expenses and I've been lucky enough to have a compassionate coach. I also have the huge support of my mentor Daniel Vasquez, who urged me to create this page so I can pursue my dream.
My dream has always been to play soccer professionally. Growing up in East Oakland, there wasn't much to do becauses of how limited things are here. With violence and poverty around me the only way I saw out of it was through soccer. My mother would support me despite how limited our income was because she was a single parent. She helped put me through soccer and school, so if I ever do make it to the professional level, I can give her the life and rest she deserves.
This trip to England would put me in front of talent scouts and thanks to our cooach and his hard work, we may be able to be exposed to the top tier club, Stoke City. Big thanks to Top Eleven as well for providing that opportunity. I have worked hard for 9 years to pursue my dream and I can't see a future without soccer being in it. I've saved up money before to be able to try out for soccer at Saint Mary's college. U.C. Davis and U.C. Berkeley. This trip would introduce me to international football and could be my only chance towards my path of professional soccer. Thank you for hearing my story.
