Gas Money, Groceries and Bills, Oh My!
Mom has been battling lung cancer (along with fibrolyalgia, neuropathy, diabetes...) for three years now. Despite fighting it off all this time, it has now spread to her ribs, causing her additional tissue, nerve and bone pain. The doctors have told us that additional chemo would only cause her body more harm, so she has been moved to home hospice care. We're both very glad that we can get this kind of care and allow her to still be at home. The hospice staff is currently working to manage her pain, and she's already feeling much better than she was in the hospital.
To those of you who are able to help in this way: Mom and I are genuinely humbled by your generosity. We're both used to being the ones who are helping others. In fact, it makes us much more comfortable to be on the giving end than the receiving. But, as I've been told many times in the past week: let the people who want to help give you the help you need. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
To those of you who are not able to help in this way: we know that everyone is struggling right now. Your thoughts and prayers mean everything to us, and we thank you for having us in them.

L'Chaim. To life. Merci and thank you.

Unfortunately, I'm looking at one more month of financial destitution. I've brought the bills down as much as I can (and even paid them all, thanks to you!), but I'm going to have $1,700 less this month to take care of everything. And I won't be able to have an estate sale until September.
I'm extremely humbled by the overwhelming support (imagine me, humbled...). But if there are still a few angels out there who can help me through one more bump in the road, I would be eternally grateful.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Utilities are next, when/if I get the funds for them.
Thank you, everyone, for your generosity. I know Mom is smiling right now.
WePay is having issues transferring the money to the bank account, so I'm working to get that solved.
I'm supposed to be in Mesquite and Irving at the same time tonight, so we'll see how that works out.
Gotta love it!
