Jared Van Leuven's Recovery Fund

As some of you may know, our friend and family member Jared Van Leuven recently suffered a severe spinal injury whilst shredding on his snowboard. His L2 was shattered and 3/4 of his spinal cord compromised.  After 8 hours of surgery, doctors were able to fuse his L1 and L3 together, and thankfully Jared is now on the road to recovery. 

However, there are still many obstacles to surmount. Re-learning how to walk is just the tip of the iceberg. Everyday tasks are now quite the challenge, and lots of rehab and life tweaks will be required. Furthermore, Jareds business, VLMSpec, will take a hit. Jared depends on his body for income and employs four others, and working on cars with a broken back is pretty tough. 

Jared is now facing large medical and rehabilitation costs, and he needs your help. Please consider donating to his cause and helping a/ my brother out!

So far he has racked  up 700k (and growing) in medical costs and it is unclear what insurance will cover. We set a goal of 15k  in the hopes that it will help him keep his head above water whilst trying to adapt to this life change, run a business, avoid financial stress, and have to move houses with his two dog children.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated!!
