RAMADAN 2016 SYRIA APPEAL

I've decided to set up this account to raise funds for Iftar food packs for Syria this Ramadan.
Ramadan will commence on the 7th june 2016, i have created this page early so we can receive enough donations by the time Ramadan begins. So in'sha'Allah we can send food packs in the beginning and throughout of Ramadan. http://www.onenationuk.org will deliver our food packs to syria and will provide us with videos to show our food packs being delivered.
WHAT IS RAMADAN?
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. There are many reasons why this month carries more importance for Muslims than others, one of them being that it was the month in which the Holy Quran was revealed. Also, Lailat-ul-Qadr, a night worth a thousand months, comes in Ramadan. The Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) stated himself that all the gates of paradise open during Ramadan and they stay open throughout the month while all gates of hell remain closed.
THE PROSPECT OF GIVING CHARITY
Giving charity is a great deed. In Ramadan, however the prospect of giving charity is heightened immensely as people tend to donate more generously during this month of blessings. The reward for every good deed done during this month is multiplied manifold, which is why Muslims from around the world donate their Zakat graciously to play their part in strengthening the Muslim Ummah. There is an ever-present need for this as well.
Freedom From Hunger
“Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without any reduction in this reward.” (Al Tirmidhi) For 30 days this Ramadan when we break our fast, millions of the world’s poorest Muslims will have no food for Iftar.
Together, this Ramadan we can change this.
For millions, Ramadan is a period of joy and happiness. But imagine keeping a fast and having very little food for Iftar. Weak, starving and thirsty, many of the world's poor endure further hardships during this month.
