Jamia Masjid & Islamic Centre (Stoke Poges Lane Mosque) is a modern and progressive mosque, with a long established history in Slough. In order to cater for the increasingly diverse community in Slough, the Mosque has been subject to rapid expansion since 2001. The Mosque is committed to function as an inclusive, cultural hub for the community of Slough.

The Jamia Masjid & Islamic Centre offers various services to the wider community ranging from health & financial advice to marital and parental counselling. We also host wedding ceremonies, funerals, school visits, open days and exhibitions. We are committed to supporting local causes such as the Slough Homeless Our Concern, Age Concern, Frimley Park Hospital, Slough Fostering, Turning Point, Slough Food Bank as well a host of other statutory and non-statutory organisations. In addition, the centre offers a range of dedicated weekly services for ladies which offer educational, parental and health advice to participants.

The Mosque serves as a communal place of worship, serving over 2,500 worshippers every week; the centre offers facilities and services that are accessible to members from all cultural and social backgrounds, including dedicated facilities for female worshippers and volunteers.

Further to this, there are special events throughout the year organised by our own Community Outreach Team and various groups. Our aim is to support and balance the needs of the wider community with the day-to-day function of the Mosque.

In order to complete the rapid expansion projects over the last 18 years, the Jamia Masjid & Islamic Centre has accrued Qarze Hasanah (Interest free loans) which now need to be paid back. Furthermore, the Masjid needs to clear the balance with builders, in the region of £150,000.
