Isaiah's Medical Fund

$1,840 of $2,000 goal

Raised by 28 people in 16 months
Created June 18, 2017

On June 15 young Isaiah Irizarry son of Tanya and the late Orlando Irizarry was found with a mass on his brain with fluid.

On June 17th he was taken via ambulance to Rileys Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.

On June 18th Isaiah was scheduled for brain surgery to remove the mass & drain fluid.

Unfortunately, they were only able to remove 75% of the tumor and now he will have to undergo several chemotherapy sessions and multiple hospital visits.

As many of you know Isaiah's late father Orlando (aka) "O" Irizarry lost his battle with cancer in February of 2012.

Now the family is in immediate need of your financial assistance, for transportation,  additional medical insurance and funds to cover unexpected expenses due to his illness.

Isaiah's condition and potential healing is dependent on your donations, any amount will help.  Your anticipated support will be greatly appreciated.

Please keep Isaiah and his mother Tanya in your thoughts, prayers & positive vibes. We know his daddy is watching over him too.

From Mom Tanya Irizarry:
Please please please everyone pray for my baby!! He has been unresponsive since yesterday evening. They found out he was having seizures & now cannot open his eyes or respond. They are hopeful that this is just a temporary setback & are continuing to figure things out. The seizure medicine they switched him to last night has been working since he started it, so hopefully avoiding more seizures will let his body start responding again...
PLEASE WE NEED EVERYONE OUT THERE TO SEND POSITIVE VIBES, PRAYERS, THOUGHTS... Our little fighter NEEDS IT ALL..

From Tanya:
Back to Rileys. Was in the ER the night before last for leg & arm spasms. Our follow up appointment for that was scheduled for this morning with his peds neurology but I took him back to the er last night because of a fever. They were consulting with his docs at Rileys & Put him on antibiotics as a precaution while the cultures come back.
& transferred him here.
He is at the point of his counts being low so they want to make sure of no infections. but with his shunt, his team wants to be on top Of it so we are here & we will find out more.
Please keep my baby in your prayers. I'm sure it's nothing or just the "typical" chemo side effects. They just want to be sure.

Sorry I have not called anyone directly about this. It has all happened quickly & late & haven't had much time for anything else. If there are messages, calls, Ect that I have not responded to it's because I have not been able to. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ & this is much quicker to let everyone know. with docs in & out & tending to my son, it's taken hours to just finish this post. Thank u for understanding.

From mommy Tanya Irizarry:
My little man gets to go home!! Yayyy!! Can't explain the emotions behind this moment from both of us. We are both super happy but nervous. I know this is where the real fight starts. This is reality! This is life now. & we need to work our butts off & stay on top of EVERYTHING! There is a comfort knowing there are doctors & nurses literally at our finger tips. he has also been a little emotional because he said he feels like the doctors & nurses are family. This little boy has stolen SOOO many hearts up here. ❤️❤️❤️
But sooo excited to go home! Being in his comfort zone I think will do wonders for him.
Thomas has been at the house with the baby getting everything at the house together since last night. I don't know what I would do without that man. ❤️ I'm getting the truck packed up with the last few things before we leave. Over 3 weeks up here... whewww #readyForHome Looking forward to my little mans journey. Next round of chemo is in a couple weeks lord willing that all of his white counts, ect.. go as planned. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

From Momma Tanya Irizarry! Sorry for the late update guys.

My little man has been accepted to St. Jude's!! ❤️ Rileys Children's Hospital have been absolutely amazing with my son. They saved his life & I know they would continue the great care they have to offer. On the other hand, to be accepted to such a wonderful hospital as St. Jude's can not be passed up.

Thank u Penny Parsons Buchanan for pulling your strings & making this happen so quickly. where his care would not be interrupted. If it weren't for you I KNOW this would not have been possible.

He is doing much better, building back up his strength so he can fight this ugly fight!! ❤️

Lord, Give him strength & give him peace. ❤️
