Young people doing drugs. Teenagers giving in to peer pressure. Professed Christians living hypocritical lives. Many youths in our society today engage in activities that can negatively impact their future. A good number, specifically young Christians, are afraid to stand up for their beliefs and eventually conform to the world.
For many, simply attending an empowering event or connecting with positive people is all they need to get their lives together and be productive. This is where we come in. The youth department of Christian Breakthrough Fellowship Int'l Ministries (CBFIM) is a Christian organization focused on both youth empowerment and spiritual growth. We hold annual summer youth camps, titled "Inspire", to help achieve this.
Our main goal is to inspire youths (hence the name) from age 14 and up to achieve their potential not only spiritually, but academically, socially, economically, physically and mentally. We hold spiritual exercises, outdoor recreational activities and academic events.
Also included are musical performances, games, sports, and social connection. We make every effort to ensure that no form of technology is used at the summer retreat ground, except for emergencies. This helps discourage isolation and dependence on technology, and encourages youths to bond with each other and partake in activities.
This year's theme is "VIsualize", aimed at teaching and encouraging youths, especially teenagers, to envision their goals, hopes and dreams in life . This takes place from August 7 - 11 at the Liebenzell Retreat Center in Hackettstown, NJ. The cost of attendance is $125, and it covers room and board, food, activities and transportation for all four days.
Sadly, a lot of our youths have trouble paying this fee. Many would love to attend but are discouraged because of the cost. This is where you come in. The money achieved from this fundraiser will help lower, if not eliminate, the monetary cost of attendance. We're holding this fundraiser because we strongly believe money should not stop anyone from doing something productive with their life. Any amount can go a long way in transforming someone's life. We'll be very grateful for your donation, and for every person you spread this message to. Above all, God will reward you with more than you can imagine in your time of need. He sure loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).
