It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the tragic passing of our dear friend Gilbert Valenzuela. His family asked that in lieu of flowers that his friends and family donate to TNH Productions for our musicals as they know he had a great love for the vision and mission of TNH and loved a great show
He was a gentle, kind and positive soul who graced us with his presence as an original founding member of TNH Productions. Gilbert was part of our inner circle. He was at our endless meetings, auditions, rehearsals and shows and most recently our retreat in Big Bear. He greeted patrons as TNH’s Ambassador, served as our box office manager for our two productions of In The Heights, two productions of Disney's Aladdin Dual Language Edition, and two productions of Disney's Beauty and the Beast - The Broadway Musical.
He also volunteered on several other productions. His special personality won us a lot of friends among our thousands of audience members that experienced our musicals. When he wasn’t with us, he was at his day job at the Hollywood Gay and Lesbian Center and was a hair stylist on the weekends.
All of us at TNH Productions and CASA 0101 had the great pleasure of working with Gilbert over the years. His only desire was to be of service for our productions and of most importantly a great friend to us all.
He had a special presence and always had the back of TNH. We LOVE him dearly and we will greatly miss him. He is a brother and a sister. His loving spirit will always be with us at TNH and Casa 0101.
