Hi everyone!
I'm excited to announce that I've been selected as a finalist in the 2017 Miss Nigeria USA pageant!
The Miss Nigeria USA organization provides women of Nigerian descent an opportunity to promote culture and causes related to education and women's empowerment.
As a practicing critical care registered nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner student, my goal is to use my platform to promote health and wellness. I hope to use my influence as a contestant, and potential titleholder to promote stroke awareness and prevention. For the last several years, I have practiced in the specialty of neurology. My experiences caring for individuals post-stroke have inspired this platform. My hope is to collaborate with other organizations and health professionals to educate those within the African community regarding stroke prevention and post-stroke health maintenance.
I am excited to continue the journey of self-discovery and community engagement through the Miss Nigeria USA pageant. However, like many life ventures, participating is not without cost.
I created this gofundme campaign to seek monetary support to offset the cost of competing in this National Competition.
Your support will go towards: administrative participation fees, campaign/advertising fees, production attire (i.e. wardrobe, costumes, make up), and travel/accommodation expenses.
The participation fee deadline is March 1st! (Deadline met!!)
No donation is too small!...
