Hiking 1,200 Miles With Anthony
Donation protected
To the reader:
I am writing to you to let you know about the campaign that I am planning to kick off in the month of June.
First, let me introduce myself; my name is Anthony Salazar and I am an OIF Veteran who served eight years in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Assaultmen.
My mission is to backpack across Wisconsin's 1,200 mile Ice Age Trail beginning on June 12th, 2017starting in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and ending in Taylors Falls, Minnesota. On this trek, I will be raising awareness for Veterans Suicide and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Throughout my journey I will be reaching out to Veteran Service Organizations along the trail and talking to other vets along the way and inviting them to join along with me on this journey.
My goal is to raise $50,000 for this cause through this campaign. The first 5% ($2,500) of the funds raised will be used to fund the campaign itself (advertisements, marketing, etc). After GoFundMe deducts their fees, the rest of the donations will go directly to DryHooch.org which is a Non-Profit organization formed by combat veterans to help veterans with resources and tools to help everyone be successful.
I truly appreciate and thank you for your time in reviewing my efforts and reading what I have to say. I want my voice to reach those that need someone in their darkest time and let them know that they are not alone and that I am here and asking them to stay another day and walk with me.
Please feel free to share and spread this campaign as you feel necessary, because even that, can save a life, believe it or not.
Sincerely,
Anthony Salazar
