IMPAACT (Informing More Pupils About Auto Crash Tragedies)

A graphic Traffic Safety Initiative provided for teenage drivers, parents and family of teenage drivers and members of local communities to provide a graphic and stark realization of the consequence of distracted driving & drinking and driving.

This project is designed to place severely crashed vehicles on school grounds so that our young and impressionable Teenage Drivers will have a close-up and vivid reference of how a once fine and beautiful 3000+ pound vehicle is reduced to a mangled and twisted heap of metal in an instant!

A recent addition to the IMPAACT mission is to meet requests by local communities to place severely crashed vehicles at Public Safety programs including those sponsored Fire, Police and EMT. Also IMPAACT has been asked to place crashed cars at local church events such as church picnics.

Retired Florida State Trooper Philip has been involved in Public Safety his entire professional career and has a weekly public safety column, "Tallahassee Street Scenes", in the Tallahassee Democrat.

Although the crashed vehicle displays may only last one week per event, the effort to coordinate obtaining, delivery and pickup, materials, and time to safely display the crashed vehicles for education of teenage drivers is quite an effort and costs around $1000 per vehicle display.

Our current goal will place 50 cars throughout Florida and Georgia, primarily at high schools in the big bend area.  Since the start of the program in the Summer of 2016, we have been contacted by High School Administrations throughout Florida and some schools in Georgia.
