Kay Bingaman was intubated for the "highest levels of CO2 [her doctor] had ever seen in a non terminal patient."

She spent almost a week in the ICU, and another half week on "the floor." Unfortunately, the descrepency in care between those two areas lead her to being discharged home before all her equipment that keeps her out of the hospital had been serviced becasue the doctor felt she was under-control.

And once she was out of critical care, all accounting for her thyroid cancer and other chronic ailments halted almost immediately. Because, the CO2 build-up is just one symptom of one illness. The radiation and surgery didn't work on her Thyroid cancer and we're gonna have to go back to round two as soon as possible.

The next step is in-patient rehab. But, before we can get there we have to survive in the meantime as well. This is a fundraiser for expenses incurred during her long and ongoing hospital stay and to cover whatever insurance won't so she can get back to her normal with the help of intensive respiratory and physical therapy.

She was supposed to head to rehab straight from the hospital, but her doctor released her early. She's weak and more reliant on care than ever before. Plus, we're on the verge of eviction thanks to the drain these kinds of situations can put on a family unit.

We've almost hit the halfway mark and things seem so within reach of normalcy. It's so important that this thing gets shared and even a second or first donation of 5 dollars or so would go a long way.

Thank you so much for your thoughts, support via donation and most of all PRAYERS!
We are fighting to stay out of the hospital and desperately need your help in prayers and sharing this campaign.
Doctors office tomorrow, and will update. Trying to raise enough funds to finish paying for medical attention at home and expensive copays!
"God has touched so many hearts on my behalf
The outpouring of love so far has given me so much hope! "

We cannot get hospice because of their policy on life support. They consider mom's trilogy external ventilator "life support". Also she did not want to sign a DNR so they would not work with her.
Yesterday, Sunday, we met with an affiliate that give palliative nursing care, then handles hospice. She was set to sign, then the estimate of $400 per week copay were discussed with her. With donations slow, and the ones collected, already used, she is in one desolate situation, also with twenty prescriptions waiting to be filled with copay totaling over $500 at least.
So please, continue to share this campaign and prayer request for this all not to spiral her backwards. She is in so much plain and cannot get comfortable.

Mom is being released today against the will of most of the staff here at her medical rehab facility. Blue Cross denied her the full 21 day stay, so her release is today. We had prepared for the possibility of her being released Friday which is still too early, but today is earlier than anyone thought or expected.

Once we get home, we are meeting with the affiliated Hospice to hopefully begin home hospice care. Plus, we have to somehow get 15 pages of altered prescriptions dropped off and picked up with their related copays.

Because it is a different benefit (again) the insurance company is having her evaluated once more when we get home and the out of pocket costs reset along with all equipment and nurse visit copays.

We aren't sure what we're going to do, but your thoughts, prayers, and shares are appreciated.
