HURRICANE HARVEY DISASTER RELIEF

Our team of former military, police and nursing volunteer personnel will be traveling to Houston/Katy, TX Thursday from DFW and providing rescue and relief to victims of Hurricane Harvey. The team is headed up by Charlie Walker, a police officer who is seasoned in hurricane rescue, being his 7th hurricane to deploy to. Robert Hilger (military veteran), Joe Brewer(military veteran) Terry Miller, Brandon Williams, Hayley Runnells(CNA) Kimberly Martinez (RN) and Crystal Glaser (dog whisperer) and myself (SPTA).
We are raising money for fuel and supplies to help with rescue by boat and transport those who need shelter to a safe and designated area. We are coordinating with Katy, TX fire department and Jade Humanity/Jonathon Lewis of Houston for appointed relief efforts and supply/shelter areas.
We have access to 55 gallon drums used to refuel boats and vehicles. Filling those up before we take off, will be 100$ compared to the climbing fuel prices down South. Even 5$ is 2 gallons of gas!
All monetary donations will be used for fuel, supplies, evacuation support and rescue efforts. I will personally be withdrawing these funds and monitoring the use of them for our team outside of gofundme during our excursion. The excess money raised will be delivered to Katy fire department in Katy, TX.
WE ALSO NEED clothing, shoes, non-perishable food items, bottled water, clean dry blankets, towels, hand sanitizer, lysol wipes, toiletry items, tampons, aspirin/tylenol/advil, band aides, first aid kits, canned food, plastic utensils (no knives), paper towels, toilet paper, soap, toys for children, books, coloring books, baby formula, baby food, and diapers.
