There is Hope for Hope!

This is Hope. Hope was rescued with her sister, Harper, two nights ago from a digustingly filthy home where the owner was said to be abusing dogs. When my friend Cherie went over to investigate she witnessed this man kicking Hope in the head.  All because Hope was freezing and wanted in the house. It gets down to 24 or colder here....So Cherie picked Hope and the closest other puppy and left. She brought both of them to me to foster them til we could work with them as they are scared. I found Hope to be sick and not eating and unable to keep even water down. She was in her kennel most of time and was unable to walk.

I took Hope to vet asap. Hope tested positive for Parvo and is "off" from being kicked in head but no neorlogical damage was found per Vet. She needed to stay overnight with aggressive treatment. Just in the 2 hours I was there she was getting worse.

Hopes treatment is vital and I never thought I would have to ask for help. But I do. Hope deserves better! Her sister, Harper, is thriving. She will be tested also but eats, drinks and has no issues other than the effects of abuse. My kids and I are loving on her and helping her see that we are not here to hurt her.

I will pay it forward and help others. I have before and will continue to do so. I also will not take in anymore fosters until I am in a place in my life I do not have to ask for help.

I will be keeping Hope. She reminds me of Scottie so much. Scottie was my best friend and a huge part of my life and he died in March. Hope will be a part of our family from now on.

My 17 year old son made a $50 payment to vet and another person who is great called the vet directly and  made a payment. Anything helps. If you can not help please pass on.

I can not thank you enough for even just reading. No dog should ever be abused as these have been. Vet will be getting involved also and further following up with local pd and animal control to get the other dogs out of this mans abusive home. Thank God! Huge hugs and again, thank you!

Merry Christmas and hope for Hope!
