This is Jeannie, some may call me Marilyn. I am a mother to 3 beautiful children: Amanda (25); Rachael (21); & James (12). I am fighting, for the 3rd time, stage 4 triple negative breast cancer, the most aggresive & rare type (& I am only 51!). It has metastasized to multiple sites in my body. I started treatment in April of 2015 & after the first 4 months of chemotherapy the drug was determined unsuccessful. Now, I am in a clincal trial that requires CT scans every 6 weeks. On February 25th, 2016 a new tumor was discovered, indicating the drug in the clinical trial stopped working.
Meanwhile, my quality of life continues to diminish. I am often sick, tired & in pain. The largest & most serious tumor blocks my lymphatic system in my left arm, causing the arm to swell to over twice its normal size. Because of this, I must dry-brush, wrap & sling my arm several times a day. This is not a happy life. I am convinced that the chemotherapy is doing more harm than good & will ultimately lead to my death; the doctors told me that their treatment plan requires me to stay on chemotherapy for the remainder of my life.
Because of this, I made the decision to look for alternative treatments. In October of 2015 I recieved & started watching the series "The Truth About Cancer: A Global Quest." My eyes were opened, my lifestyle began to change & hope began to form. I am now ready to make the journey to Tijuana, Mexico, where there is the Hope4Cancer Institute. They are offering me a holistic 9-step treatment plan that assesses & treats the body as a whole. After spending 3 weeks at the center to recieve the 9 treatments, I would follow up on months 3 & 6 to complete the program & return to a healthy life, free of cancer. I feel this is my last & only hope.
The total cost of the program is $47,000. My insurance does not cover any of the cost of the program.
My case was assessed by the head doctor at the clinic, Dr. Tony, who believes it is of the utmost importance that I get there as soon as possible, due to the rare & aggressive triple negative quality of the cancer. I am ready to go as soon as the funds are! :)
