The Suniland Roller Rink has been a staple in the South Florida community for over 15 years and counting. It has been the home for Suniland's roller hockey, roller derby, lacrosse and other youth and adult organizations throughout this time. During this decade and a half of much love, friendships, and triumphs it has sadly seen better days. To continue to create long lasting memories, we are eager to keep the rink alive. The property that the rink resides on is currently maintained by Miami-Dade county. However, the rink, as well as, the scoreboard do not receive any maintenance from the county. The costs have been too great for the local donations to maintain an acceptable facility. Leaving it in dire need of repair and refurbishment.

Our goal of $20,000 will provide the local rink with a working scoreboard (pictured but not functioning), rink board repair, awnings to provide shade for players' bench, rink fencing that does not bow or have sharp edges and an adequate rink surface that won't peel or have dangerous cracks/gaps that can cause players and skaters to be injured.

We wish to raise the $20,000 as soon as possible to make some upgrades to the rink. Any and everything will be GREATLY appreciated. We want to make sure that this rink is fixed to the glory it once was. With the rink being home to multiple sports, it would be devastating to be forced to abandon a place that is held so dearly to many.

Any amount of donation would be appreciated. Please spread the message and help us build back the Suniland Roller Rink!

As we get closer to our goal, updates will be provided of rink repairs and maintenance. Our hockey, derby, lacrosse and other recreational communities mean a great deal to all of us, it would mean the world to have the home location of our passions reflect that.

Needless to say, ALL proceeds will be used on rink renovations!

Thank you so much for reading our page.

Baby steps, but thanks to your donations, we were able to make some progress at the rink and we were able to fix the scoreboard!!! It may only be temporary since the scoreboard is well over 10 years old, but it's still nice to see the rink receive some much needed attention.

Please keep donating! We are a long way from our goal and we still have a long list of things to fix or upgrade at the rink including fencing, the court itself, awnings, the boards and more!

Took apart the scoreboard today and had an electrician come out to figure out why it's not working. Good news, we found the part that needs to be replaced. Bad news, it's not cheap. All in all, a good day and a big step to getting the rink back to where it needs to be.
Electrician on ladder, assistant in red and Lucas Bocanegra (rink hockey player) helping with the scoreboard. Special thank you to Lucas Bocanegra for volunteering his time to help take apart the scoreboard.
