Help Doug the old English sheepdog

This is our baby Dougie he is nearly one year old and we were sadly informed by the vet today following scans, X-rays and consultations which has used up pretty much all of his pet insurance money, that unfortunately something happened to Dougie during his first few days of age where he suffered severe trauma to his rear end, possibly during birth or within the days after. The top of his rear left leg broke and separated and has grown as a deformed lump which holds into his hip socket ever so slightly, this however is his good leg. In his right leg the hip socket hasn't formed at all, the leg is fine but no socket, the only thing that holds his right leg in place is muscles and tendons but as he cannot use his leg fully he's suffering from muscle wastage and the use of this leg is diminishing, without surgery and a new hip he will put too much strain on the already deformed left leg.

At first we were quoted £9000 for a hip replacement for Dougie, if we are able to give him a quality of life he deserves. But since setting up this gofundme page we have been fortunate enough to find an alternate orphapedic specialist who has now quoted us £6000, this will cover the cost of the operation and aftercare. This alternate vet is much further away than the one originally quoted, however we are willing to travel anywhere if it means we can get the operation done sooner.
