Meet Harley...
A sweet little girl, who, at the magical age of 3, was diagnosed with Leukemia and ripped from dance parties, from running around her house, from her toys, and from her two siblings, to be thrown in to a hospital bed with needles poking her and oxygen up her nose. Meds that kill her healthy cells along with the bad ones were pumped into her veins, damaging organs and making her feel very sick. Throwing up is a part of daily life, and Harley lost the ability to WALK normally for almost a month. Blood transfusions, stickers all over her chest and back, and stuck in a bed with a fear of giant needles being put into her chest that was so bad that she needs constant skin to skin contact with her brave mom, Jill. This is NO life for a child. Also, mom will not be able go back to work in order to care for Harley and the rest of her chidren, and the financial strain has been very heavy, to say the least. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The plan for Harley is 2 YEARS of continuous chemo and multiple spinal fluid chemo treatments under general anesthesia. After that, lots of Jimmy Fund visits for labs, for dealing with long term effects from chemo.
For sibs Hayden and Logan...their sister has cancer. She takes 90% or more of moms attention.
They have had to step up, to miss out, to deal with mom being gone, and to worry.
