Buggy & Ducky on the Road

I am Buggy's Aunt Betty, her mother Caroline's sister. If you know Buggy and Ducky, a.k.a. “The Doctor’s Ducky,” you know how amazing they are. Currently they are facing an obstacle we hope to turn into an opportunity.  They are being evicted from their home due to gentrification: the new owners want to renovate, and Burbank has no rent control. They have less than 50 days to get out. Although they can stay in the apartment until the end of May, the sooner we can move them out the more money they can put toward their future.

While their first choice would be to stay in Burbank, this may not be possible due to skyrocketing costs of living there. Several job offers have come from out of state, but their car is not reliable. For this reason, we are trying to raise money for a decent pre-owned camper van so they can travel to check out the various options over the summer, and have funds for expenses along the way.

We as their family have been doing as much as we can, but it's time to reach out to anyone else who would like to help them find a way to start fresh and feel secure wherever they end up. As most of you know, Ducky and Buggy live with disabilities that make situations like this especially challenging. In spite of this, they are bravely spreading their wings and trying to fly.
