JADA & PRISCILLA GRIMSLEY NEED OUR HELP

Jada and Priscilla, daughters of Josh and Jennifer Grimsley, are facing a medical crisis.  Doctors recently discovered tumors in 17 year old Jada's neck, two small tumors on her thyroid and one tumor on her carotid artery.   Jada has been undergoing extensive testing and is now waiting to be scheduled for major surgery or possible multiple surgeries to remove the tumors within the next few weeks.  Then ten days ago, Jada's 13 year old sister Priscilla was hospitalized with a kidney abscess.  She is now at home hopeful to recover on antibiotics, but surgery is not yet off the table for her.  Priscilla is on oxygen at night possibly on a permanent basis. She has now been referred to a cardiologist, ENT and genetic specialist.  


Jada and Priscilla's parents, Josh and Jennifer, are self-employed flooring installation professionals and have not been able to work or bring in much income in the past few months since Jada's diagnosis, going to doctor's appointments and being with her during this difficult time.  When Priscilla was hospitalized, they were by her side 24/7 until she was able to leave the hospital and they are now caring for her at home.  As with many families, Josh and Jennifer live from paycheck to paycheck with little savings set aside.  Being self-employed means that "adequate" insurance is only a dream.  Some of the girls' medical needs will be covered by what insurance they do have,  but it will not cover the the big stuff unfortunately.  Trying to come up with money for both current and future medical bills, as well as trying to maintain their daily bills (rent, utilities, food, etc) is becoming more uncertain and obviously going to be a struggle.   The costs and future treatment for both girls are unknown at this point, but will most certainly be substantial.


The reality is that the girls and their family are facing an uncertain path.  Josh and Jennifer's lives have been up-ended in the absolute worst case of circumstances...the illness of not one child, but of two.   I have worked with Josh and his wife for many years and I wanted to help in some way.  It is my hope to provide this family with some financial piece of mind so that they can put ALL of their strength and energy into Jada's and Priscilla's treatment and recovery. 

Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to the Grimsley family.   These funds will go a long way in helping the family cope at this trying time, and in the months to come.
