Speech & Debate Nationals 2019

Recently two Helena High School students competed against hundreds of other high schoolers across the state and earned the right to represent Montana at the National Speech and Debate Tournament. Senior Dan Ruether-Affor was selected to compete in World Schools Debate and junior Hannah Muszkiewicz qualified in International Extemporaneous speaking.
However, the school district is unable to help finance transportation, accommodations, entry fees and other various costs to allow us to attend the week long National tournament in Dallas, Texas this June. The trip will cost approximately $5,000 for the competitors and our coaches to attend. Without financial support, we would be forced to sacrifice our Nationals’ bid.
We are working hard to raise the money, but we need help from you. Any donation will help us raise money to offset the financial cost and would be greatly appreciated. Please note that since the Helena School District is a non-profit organization your donation is tax deductible.
With this contribution, you would be supporting an incredible learning experience for Speech and Debate students. With the help and generosity of people and organizations like yours, the Helena Speech and Debate team can send these very deserving students to the National Speech & Debate Tournament.
