Backpack Program

Every year Healing of The Seven Generations works to provide backpacks to our Aboriginal community members in elementary, secondary and post-secondary education settings. Our program seeks to honour our community members who are continuing their journey in schooling, regardless of their age or placement in life!
In the past, we've had upwards of 300 backpacks distributed throughout the Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph and outlying communities.
Our backpacks consist of a variety of supplies for students in all types of educational institutions. We provide backpacks, a pair of shoes, paper, pens, pencils, pencil crayons, markers, pencil case, pencil sharpener, USB sticks (for the older youth and adults) etc. All of the items we fill our backpacks with are brand new!
Unfortunately this year we haven't been able to obtain as much in the way of physical and financial donations as we have in past years. We are hoping with the help of GoFundMe and social media, we can make this year as successful as the past 6!
