Riquelme, 12,  was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in 2016, we are fundraising for his much needed treatments abroad as well as a holiday that he's been dreaming of.

My son is a positive, kind, caring and compassionate boy, he deserves all the joy life can give.

However, in September 2016 he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He has suffered through chemotherapy and radiotherapy and is now trying natural treatments. He has regular seizures preventing him from having a normal life like his friends, and they are a constant reminder of his condition. Also in May 2018 he experienced some loss of eyesight which cannot be corrected with glasses.

Due to a late diagnosis we were left with limited options and his tumour was deemed as inoperable, therefore we are looking abroad for alternative treatment options as time is of the essence. Originally this campaign was for a holiday but it is now essential that we also use these funds for his vital treatment. It is our wish for Riquelme to have the best quality of life and experiences that he can.

He has been working hard to integrate into school, getting his friendships and education back on track after missing his first year of high school due to frequent appointments and treatments.

He is dedicated to taking his many daily supplements and medications. I am so proud of his positive attitude and outlook on life, as well as the soul growth and maturity that he's developed during the past two years. He hasn't let what's happened to him bring down his spirit and his positivity inspires us all.

To celebrate his courage, strength and determination I would love to be able to give Riquelme the best chance of successful treatment as well as the holiday he's been dreaming of.

That is why I am asking for your help. Could you find it in your heart to help raise enough funds to give my wonderful son Riquelme the holiday he dreams of and access to treatment that is crucial for his wellbeing.

It is Riquelme’s wish to visit Mexico or Italy, giving him the chance to relax, see some of the world and experience some magic.

Travelling abroad has now become very expensive for us because travel insurance to cover Riquelme's condition can cost as much as the holiday itself.

Your support means everything to us and I hope we will soon have enough funds to give Riquelme exactly what he needs. We would be so grateful for any support and donations, of any size, nothing is too little.

This funding would give us many more options to support Riquelme and fill his life with precious happy memories to treasure forever.

Riquelme means the world to us and we want to do all we can to give him everything he deserves.

Thank you so much for all your love and generous support.

Thank you for your donations we are grateful for your support in these testing times. Riquelme has recently lost some vision and mobility which has become challenging emotionally and physically for him and for those that love and support him, sadly at this time it is unsafe for him to travel far so we are doing our best to support him to enjoy days out and experience as much joy as possible sometimes our wishes are more ambitious than practically possible and manageable for him as he is easily fatigued. He is enjoying time with family and we are trying our best to keep his mood as high and to make him as comfortable as possible.
He is looking forward to his little sisters second birthday this weekend and will hopefully be going to stay in a safari tent with family in a couple of weeks.

Many thanks Bonnie and family
