Jack's Eagle Project Water Filters

Donation protected
I am Boy Scout from Troop 370 located in Sandy Hook, CT.   I am currently working on My Eagle Project which is to send water filters down to the villages in Haiti and teach the people there how to use them.

Currently, the villages in Haiti do not have access to clean water.  Rain water is the primary source collected in community cisterns.  However, they need to boil all the water to use it and even then illness can still occur.   The Sawyer Water filters that I hope to bring down to the villages are capable of providing a family of 4 about 10 years of clean water with proper maintenance.

The beneficary of my Eagle Project is Mountains of Hope for Haiti.  All funds received for this project will be directly provided to this Mission program.  Mountains of Hope is a mission of the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.  It operates under the guidelines of 'Volunteers in Mission" and in partnership with the Methodist Church of Haiti.

I would like to thank everyone very much for donating to this worthy cause to bring clean water to the people of Haiti.
