Help Heal Gwenny!

The love of my life, a Bichon named Gwenny, was just diagnosed with a mast cell tumor. It is on her skinny, little, left front leg and it's growing quickly. Mast cell tumors in dogs are a type of cancer that can potentially, but not always, be unpredictable and aggressive. The prognosis varies widely, depending on the grade of the tumor. We won't know what grade it is until after the surgery.
She has also been coughing and having some breathing difficulties lately (that thankfully have been improving). I’m not sure whether or not it’s related to the tumor. I’ve been worried sick about her because she is truly my best friend, baby and soulmate. So far her vet bills have totaled around $700, for veterinarian visits, a surgery consultation, a fine needle aspirate (which was used to diagnose the tumor), blood work and visits to a holistic vet.
Since mast cell tumors need aggressive surgery in order to get clean margins, her veterinarian recommended that we go to a board certified veterinary surgeon. She is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday June 22nd and the cost of the surgery (including a chest x-ray and an abdominal sonogram) is going to be between $5,500 and $6,800 dollars. I’m in a difficult financial situation right now, due to my own health challenges, so Gwenny and I are asking for your help! Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!
If for some reason she doesn’t have the surgery (if the tests come back that she’s not a candidate for surgery, or if it’s decided that it’s too risky, etc.) all of the money will still go towards Gwenny (including alternative and holistic healthcare therapies). I am hoping to continue with holistic treatment (as well as follow-ups with her regular veternarian) after the surgery, so any extra money raised will go towards her continued care.
Gwenny is the most loving, sweet, kind, caring, intelligent, fun, funny, mischievous, outgoing, bold, lively, cuddly, vivacious, loyal, beautiful soul I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. I am deeply grateful for every single second we get to spend together. Please help me heal her!
