Dave Emericks Cancer Battle

My name is Jennifer Emerick. On July 7th of this year, our family received the devastating news that my husband, David Emerick, has been stricken with stage 4 Esophageal Cancer. He is now in the middle of Chemotherapy and Radiation therapies with the goal of Surgery to remove the tumor sometime in early December.
Unfortunately, because his was employed as a construction electrician, he has been unable to work for over 2 months. Assuming the treatment is a success, as well as the surgery, it might still be a little over a year until he can re-enter the workforce. Additionally, the company he works for has no short or long term disability. Although I work full time, we were reliant on both salaries to make ends meet. Our son contributes as much as he can, but as a graduate student working third shift, it is difficult.
That is why I made the decision to ask for help from friends and family. I am witnessing the effects of stress and worry about unpaid bills, and the fear of foreclosure on Dave. We tried to withhold asking for help if possible, but in the 4th week of Chemotherapy, the effects are becoming disturbingly present.
I assure you all donations will be used for utility bills, mortgage payments, and the general wellbeing of Dave as the treatments become more difficult to bear.
